Loïc has a background in political and social sciences. He completed a PhD at UCLouvain, exploring the role of local energy governance in explaining the (non)emergence of renewable energy cooperatives. While his research focused primarily on Belgium, he also published work on Portugal, the Netherlands, Poland, Lithuania, and Czechia. Passionate about socio-ecological transitions and energy democracy, Loïc brings these interests to his current role as Policy Officer at FEDARENE. There, he works on the Citizen Energy Advisory Hub, ConnectHeat, ENERCOM FACILITY, and Citizen-led Renovation projects, and contributes to advocacy activities.
