More than 20 members joined the meeting of the FEDARENE Working Group on Adaptation to Climate Change last week. The lively discussion on regional challenges and opportunities has resulted in action points to work on.
It was a good opportunity to introduce FEDARENE activities on adaptation and for members to share their initiatives on this topic which is becoming more and more central at the EU level.
The first key outcome of the meeting is the agreement to draft a position paper elaborating a common understanding of how FEDARENE members see climate adaptation as well as to improve the promotion of members’ actions at the EU level. The second outcome is to start developing a new common project embodying these shared ideas. Finally, FEDARENE will continue the gathering and sharing of members’ good practices and activities.
The meeting concluded with a presentation of upcoming opportunities for regions in terms of new funding opportunities and new initiatives.
The next meeting will be scheduled soon, don’t miss it if you are interested in the topic of climate adaptation!
