ePLANET Meeting in Paris outlines the pathway towards regional implementation

After the first half of the project duration, the recap of the achievements especially on Multi-level governance and the different Use-cases of the ePLANET platform helped to plan and design the further regional integration of the results and replication in the ePLANET follower regions.

On the 1st and 2nd of March, the 4th ePLANET project meeting was held in Paris with the presence of CINEA’s Project Officer in charge. The meeting was preceded the day before by a workshop focusing on the Greek pilot region to tailor the platform integration and governance model to regional specifics and discuss upcoming regional capacity-building activities.

The first day was an opportunity to review the progress of the project in terms of coordination, digitalization, user empowerment, and replication but also on sustainability beyond the project duration and communication and dissemination. The day concluded with a demo of the ePLANET platform to demonstrate all the features already in place and to test the user access with the regional partners.

During this day, FEDARENE was able to present the achievements in terms of replication and networking with the selection of follower regions and the organisation of 5 Stakeholder Forums. Our next steps will be to define and organise the joint activities programme for the selected regions and to continue with the organisation of Stakeholder Forums focused on the advancement of the platform.

The second day was dedicated to the progress of the pilot sites and the next steps of the project. To do so, two working groups were organised. The first one focused on the selection and scheduling of the upcoming capacity-building activities and the second one on the coordination of the monitoring and evaluation tasks.

Overall, during these three days, we got very interesting discussions about Multilevel Governance and the current status of the different use cases with a specific focus on how the pilot sites will use the project platform to enhance the energy transition in their territories, and how the project needs to adapt the different outcomes to their requirements.

FEDARENE thanks all the partners for the fruitful discussions and particularly Three o’clock for the organisation of these three days.
