Support opportunities for towns and municipalities

WALMEET.EU and the Union des Villes et des Communes de Wallonie (UVCW) are organising a meeting with representatives of the European Commission and the European Investment Bank in Namur on 12 June.

The 12 June 2024 from 09:00 to 17:00 Brussels time Namur Belgium

The aim of the event is to inform towns and municipalities, and more widely associations, about the calls for proposals launched by the European Commission as part of its “Citizens, Equality, Rights and Values” (CERV) programme. Funding is available for these calls.

Representatives of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and the European Federation of Energy and Environment Agencies and Regions (FEDARENE) will also be presenting the ELENA instrument. The event will be held in French.

The CERV programme enables target actors to organise campaigns and events, and to set up exchanges and twinning arrangements with other towns and cities in the European Union, in order to advance the ideas of fundamental rights and freedoms. Many calls are open, and the meeting on 12 June will enable participants to maximise their chances of success.

ELENA stands for European Local Energy Assistance. ELENA provides technical assistance for energy efficiency and investment in renewable energies for buildings and innovative urban transport. Beneficiaries include the public sector at all levels as well as the private sector.
